Just a few weeks ago, we had the honor of heading into EastWest Studios in Hollywood, CA to record our new single “My Drug” with legendary producer Mike Clink! Mike’s production credits reads like a “who’s who” of arguably the greatest rock bands of our time, including Guns and Roses, Megadeth, Motley Crue, and UFO just to name a few. We spent 3 days in the studio with Mike, and beyond receiving an amazing recording, we gained so much more. We each have a greater understanding and perspective of the recording process, and will be able to carry that through to future recordings. Beyond the technical standpoint, simply being able to sit down during lunch and hear some of Mike’s history was both entertaining and enlightening.
EastWest Studio has it’s own history, and an enormous one at that. From the many pivotal rock albums recorded there, to just knowing some of the greats that have walked the halls and poured their hearts out within it’s walls. From Sinatra to Elvis – if those walls could talk.
Our friends at the Grammys and Greenlight compiled a video to give you a taste of our experience. It was a fast and furious weekend, and one we will never forget. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity, and cannot wait to see where our journey will take us next. Enjoy!
